		<description>Charles, not to be rude, but make sure to change the article to Separate Is Not Equal.  Also, I agree with you that the government should not prevent gay couples from marrying.  But, the government being involved in the process of marriage at all is truly silly.  If there is a church, (I believe the Episcopal Church allows it) which chooses to marry gay couples, by all means that should be allowed. The left is supposed to stand for social freedoms, yet, they seem to demand government action in places where they have no jurisdiction, or shouldn&#039;t.  Ron Paul challenges George Bush for doing a similar thing, http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul151.html, bringing more government into marriage at the expense of the taxpayer.  I think we would be better off without the government making these &quot;moral&quot; decisions for the American citizens, and keeping their hands out of a beautiful thing, instead of bureaucraticizing it.</description>
